These may become boring and mundane for some. But they are really for me. For me to hold myself accountable. For me to look back on and see how far I’ve come. When you feel like you are starting over from scratch, it’s very humbling to see how far you have to go to get back to where you left off.
So I apologize now in advance.. zzzzzzzzzzz But I will try to do them daily.
I am training with a local running group for a 5K next month. But I also have the Star Wars Half Marathon Dark Side Challenge in April that I need to train for. For those of you who are not runDisney fans. The challenge is a 10K on Saturday with a half on Sunday. My younger son will be joining me that weekend as well so why not through in a 5k on Friday! (I’m a hot mess).
Today’s workout consisted of 3 miles on the treadmill and then 5.4 miles on the Expresso Bike.
I still need to work up my endurance to be able to run without stopping so I have been following Jeff Galloways technique with a 2:00 min run / 30 sec walk to complete my runs. I am currently using his easy 10K app as well. I am hoping by the time we get to the 5K next month I can run it without the walks.
I warmed up a little before I started the app so I ran more than this app is showing. Not even really sure how it calculated the distance since it was completed on the treadmill? But, my actual mileage was 3 miles in 41:21 with an average pace of 13:47 (blah).
After my run I jumped on the Expresso bike for 5.40 miles. Love these workouts!
So that’s it! That’s my workout for Thursday.
My Isagenix shipment should come in the mail tomorrow. And after taking my before pictures today (ugh), it cannot come soon enough! I am so ready to get started!
