and I am still stagnant.. but I have been better. For the past 3 weeks I have consistently ran 3 times a week! WOOHOO Go me!
I have a half marathon next weekend that I HAVE to finish. I just have to!
I am traveling out to California to visit Disneyland for the very first time! I am super excited to be able to see the tiny castle and walk in Walt’s footsteps. My main reason for going there is for the Disney’s EarMarked Conference. My agency, Mousekeplanner is an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner Agency and each year we are invited to attend this popular conference and this year it happens to be at Disneyland to celebrate Disneyland’s 60th Anniversary!
This conference also just happens to fall right after the Avengers half marathon weekend so of course I need to come in a few days early to run this race. RunDisney has a Coast to Coast Race Challenge, if you complete a runDisney half marathon or marathon at the Walt Disney World Resort and a half marathon at the Disneyland Resort in the same calendar year, then you will receive a special Coast to Coast Race Challenge medal.
I. MUST. HAVE.
This will probably be my only chance to earn a coast to coast medal so I will finish no matter what!
I set my mind to it and I have been training for the past 3 weeks. 3 miles twice a week and then a long run. My long runs started at 5, then 6.5 and then this past weekend I did 8. This weekend I have 10 on the books and then I leave next Friday for the race!
They haven’t been pretty but I have gotten them done with intervals, 1:30 run / 1:00 walk.
This has also gotten me back on course to getting off my butt and getting active again. I have plans for this winter! big big plans! But for now, I just need to finish this race!
