Hello again! Long time no talk.
I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. For us summer is winding down.. we have 5 weeks left until school starts.
Baseball is finally over. For those of you that do not know this, I am a mom to two boys… my older son is very heavily involved in baseball. (we are finally on a month break) but we are normally at the field at least 2-3 times during the week and all day long on the weekend..
Which made it hard for me to do anything for myself (well.. I could.. but you know.. all those excuses and all).
So when I really sit back and think about my goals it’s not really about the size of my jeans. It’s more about how I feel. Having more energy, feeling good in my clothes. I really don’t think I will every have a rock hard stomach, and I am okay with that. But I know it could be a lot flatter and not overflowing in my clothes.
I really need to start with my eating, while I’m not a horrible eater, we do eat out a lot.. so I am sure it’s not the greatest. We need to start eating home more. And I need to cut out the crap on my diet.
So of course I have looked at all the options out there.. Paelo, Whole30, clean eating. For me and my family, and I think clean eating is the way to go. I know I need to cut out the processed crap and fast food. That is a no brainer, but I can’t go as strict as Paelo and Whole30 are. I need some dairy in my life. And I will not cut out coffee and creamer. Just won’t do it. That little amount a day won’t kill me.
So, back to MyFitness Pal, back to counting calories, back to filling my body with good foods. Time to stay consistent though. Which seems to be the hard part for me.
Starting August 3 I will be starting the 21Day Fix with a group of people. That will help with the accountability.
Oh, and I really need to start training for these fall half marathons… and get back into the gym.. and… you get the picture.
